the sadness of being done...

sigh...... i am done. the book was phenomenal. absolutely, in every way it lived up to my expectations. HOWEVER, i am left feeling a bit lost. where do i go from here? i think, the only place i can go is to immerse myself in some good classics. i will start with little women. then perhaps jane eyre? or emma? wuthering heights? i'm slightly embarrassed to say that i haven't read any of them. the time has come. i have a thirst that needs quenched....a good book is the only antidote!

so, keeping in mind that i want to read a good classic, please give me some good leads!! i'm relying on you, my well educated, fellow book-loving friends to get me past the sadness.....:)

oh, and yes, my husband is ELATED that i am done with the twilight series. overly dramatic doesn't even begin to describe his reaction. (insert smug expression here)

Jane Eyre is my favorite book, so gte on it, sista! then, when you are finished, come over and watch the latest BBC version - it's the best one and therefore one of my favorite films, too. easily the best romance even written, according to moi!

The bbc version of jane eyre is very good but i must confess i have not read the book ;0 As for others classics, it is not a sweeping love story but Anne of Green Gables is a fun story to read and won't consume you. If you want a thriller, read Intensity by Dean Koontz. You won't be able to put it down.

Hmmm, my favorite book of all time is probably The Poisonwood Bible. Although it's not a classic, it's a must-read. As for classics, my other all time fave is Pride and Prejudice. I've never read Jane Eyre either... That is probably next on my list.
